Some small updates ♥

Just wanted to inform you guys that I have made some small changes on my blog, and I will probably make some more changes before I'm happy with the result. I have been trying to resist the urge to change my blog too much, but I'm still not happy with the layout, so I will try to get it right.

But, as you probably can see I have fixed on my header a little bit, The other one was not good! We'll see if I keep it this way, or make a new one. Right now, I like it :)

And, I have fixed the blog slightly, so now I can post XL pictures! This I prefer because sometimes smaller pictures can lie a little bit.. But now you can see all the looks in detail, and pick on my mistakes :P

Hope you like these changes, please leave a comment on how you think! It is you guys that read my blog, and without you I will have no reason to wright about makeup ;)

EOTD: Idyllic Hustle

Todays EOTD is very fall inspired, and appropriate. I used my MAC Idyllic paint pot, which came out with their fall collection (Posh Paradise) last year. It is a lovely lilacy burgundy duo chrome-ish color (I'm not the best at describing colors :P ). It looks soo soo lovely in the little pot, but when I slap it on my eye it looks like I've been punched. For my skintone, reds, pinks and many purple colors are almost impossible to wear, since I have such a delightful pig-ish pink undertone. Which sometimes by the way seems more like my actual skintone. So I haven't really found a use for it yet. Until today (happyfaceee).

I also have to mention that my eye area have been dry as Sahara lately, and therefore the lack of posts on the blog. I have to use a cream containing stereoids (my eyes are getting pumped to the max :P hahahah) to get my eyelids back to normal... It is crazy!
So today I felt for a dark smokey eye using fall-ish colors, so I grabbed my Idyllic Paint Pot and my Naked palette and started on my war paint :P

It looks more brown than burgundy purple on camera.. The lighting was just soo bad today...

I LOVE it. Hustle toned down the paint pot exactly right, the purple/burgundy still shows through, but I dont look beaten up. This will be my fall go to look. You can jazz it up a little for a night out with a pair of loushes lashes and some black eyeliner on the waterline. Or a bright/ dark lip. Whatever you prefer :)

Products used:
MAC Paint Pot/ Idyllic
UD eyeshadow/ Hustle
UD eyeshadow/ Sin

UD eyeshadow/ Naked
NYX JEP / Milk

What is your favorite color for fall? Mine is dark browns :)

EOTD: Mochied Sweetheart

This look was inspired by my new Sweetheart palette by Sugarpill. But I also wanted to incorporate the reason for my awesome blog name, Sugarpills Mochi eyeshadow. It's a lovely minty green with a hint of blue. It looks awesome against my blue eyes.

Products used:
NYX JEP in Milk
Rimmel ScandalEyes mascara / black
Sugarpill eyeshadows:
Tako
Mochi
Dollipop
Afterparty
Midori
Bulletproof

This is one of my first looks that I really manage to pull off such different colors. I'm so happy with how it turned out. The blending isn't perfect, but I'm no pro, I do the best I can (Can't stop looking at myself in the mirror..). I don't think I will wear this look out though, It's a little (I mean a lot! People in Norway are not used to crazy out there or colorful makeup..) out of my comfort zone, but for a 80's party or other crazy events it is not impossible that I will recreate it.

What is your all time favorite eyeshadow? Mine is Sin from UD :)

Haul: Sugarpill Sweetheart Palette ♥

Ever since I tried Sugarpill eyeshadows after listening to endless raving about them, I totally fell in love with their smooth, crazily pigmented and very blend-able formulation. I was totally captivated by the first shadow I bought. I've been eyeing this palette for a while now, but it was out of stock for a long period of time. So when it finally came back in stock, I couldn't resist the urge of hitting the order button (I have found my biggest weakness, biiiiiiig shiiiiny orderbuttooooons )

This is the little box the palette itself came in.. So adorable!
And I was not dissapointed this time eighter by Sugarpill. Four smooth, pigmented and incredible eyeshadows. Plus gorgeous packaging! I sense an addiction... Just look at this masterpiece.

This is the palette. Still the packaging is great!

The eyeshadows themselves are as smooth as velvet. I only found Taco to be a little bit chalky and not as highly pigmented as the rest, but I have other plain white shadows that literaly sucks in comparison to Taco. With a white base underneath, I have no reason to complain, it looks amazing.

This is without flash. The names are so cute!
And the two others. Still trying to figure out a good way to take photos, so sorry for the lack of quality..
No need for caption here.. :P
And of course, the swatches!

The base I used was NYX eyeshadow base in skintone.

Overall I love the palette, now I just have to find the courage to use those bold colors :P
I will most definitely post a look when I've had the chance to play with the palette, I have been very busy lately.

What is your favorite eyeshadow brand?
Mine is Sugarpill for color, and UD (Urban Decay) for neutrals :)
